(Dear Reader,
Though you have not heard from me in a while, I have been writing down my adventures as I’ve spent the last two-and-a-half weeks traveling through the United Kindom, Belgium, France, and even the Netherlands (briefly). Now I’m back in Teesside, with a lot of new information, and although in reality I will be heading home soon, I am going to stagger my blog posts so you, dear Reader, are not overwhelmed with two-and-a-half weeks worth of blog posts in two days. I will date the posts when I originally wrote them, and eventually you will catch up with me as I head home and back to my normal life. Here commences the first of several quasi-retrospective posts…)
Today was a bit of a late start, with not actually leaving for our grand tour until about 3:15 in the afternoon. By the time we got to Chester, the sun was just setting, and although we wandered around a bit after dark, it was still a nice little city to look at. Like a surprising number of places in the UK, it has a castle and cathedral, which as always were fun to gawk at even if it was too dark for pictures. Next we went to the “local” juggling club of the people who’s hospitality we’re enjoying tonight in Chester, and then headed off to the pub. After that, we went to where they live, on a canal boat (in a canal, amazingly enough). After some tea we headed for bed in preparation for a long day of visiting Wales tomorrow. Coincidentally, I have a cough today, so no fun there.
