Me: No, I just felt the need to wear a tie. Aren’t the ties at the Olive Garden green?
Checker: Oh, I mean, I hope you didn’t think, I wasn’t trying to offend you…
Me: *confused about why that would be offensive*
Checker: *weakly* You look very nice?
