Yesterday wasn’t very exciting, I knew I would leave for Bristol today straight from work, so I raced home from work (at about 7pm) and started doing laundry. You remember that a lot of Brits don’t have dryers, well even with only washing to do, the energy and water conservative washer took a good hour and a half to get it done. And Roger was coming to get me at 9pm to take me to his house to talk to Nathan, a friend of mine who I had already made plans to chat with. My laundry was barely washed and spread around my room (to dry) when Roger showed up. So I got to Roger’s and popped online and spent about two hours talking to Nathan. By then it was like 11:30pm and Miark (who was at Roger’s at the time) was leaving home and offered me a ride. Miark really likes teasing people, and he picks on me for the way I say and do things. Apparently I say “Huh?” a lot, so every time I say it he says it back to me with this stupid expression on his face and won’t answer my inquiry until I say “What?” or “Pardon?” or “Excuse me?” instead. Leigh’s still pretty nice to me, but both Roger and Miark are constantly picking on me for everything, so as an American I have to have a really good sense of humor or else I would go completely crazy. It does keep things interesting though.
This morning I got up early because I had to shower and pack before going to Roger’s. My clothes were still wet, especially the thicker things like my hoodie (hooded sweatshirt) and jeans. So when things were calm at work I borrowed some twine from Joyce (the Postal Pages lady across the way) and wired up a clothesline outside in the parking lot between Roger’s van and the railing in front of our office.

We headed out of work at 5pm, but our plans were derailed slightly by the fact that Roger’s car wouldn’t start, which was unfortunate because it had all our stuff in it. But Leigh and Miark and I pushed the van around the parking lot until it started. So now we’re on our way, and I’m reclined in a rear-facing seat in the can as England races by outside our windows as the adventure heads south, to Bristol.
I love the clothesline in the parking lot.I'm working for 9wood, starting tomorrow.

I've got a picture I'll put up in a few minutes here (we're having problems with the network at work), congrats on the job! Nathan told me, that is SO exciting!!!!

I love the picture of the clothesline. And it's nice to see the sun is shining. Have you generally had more rainy days than sunny days?

Is that the super dino towel that I bought? It sure looks like it. Glad it's getting to see some sunshine.I'm jealous of Nathan, he got to talk to you, and I haven't yet. Tuesday and Thursday I just work half days, so today was a short one. Today I learned how to make stickers and put them on chunks of sample wood. Exciting, eh? Actually, I didn't mind at all. It's so different to be working.

Um, it's been cold but sunny, although it does rain once every three or four days.Vjera: yes it is! I very happily tote it around in the house, Claire and Zabida have these pretty girly towels and I have this 4 year-old SUPER dino towel. It's great. Yeah, Nathan arranged it with me, and even then I came on way later than I was supposed to. It is so hard to schedule times to be on, I have so much going on (juggling and unicycling clubs) and if I tie myself down too much I don't have the opportunity to be spontaneous like I did on Monday (you'll hear about that later). But we'll work it out. Speaking of work, I have been learning how to move shipments of unicycles around and count spokes and configure computers and lots of other exciting things. We both have fun jobs!
